I can evaluate how an influential civilization is structured. 

Agenda:
1. Starter
2. Egypt
3. Concept Mapping

1. Starter:  
2nd Block: Using the Padlet, draw a conclusion about ancient civilizations using our three big ideas: structure, power, and patterns.

3rd Block: Ancient Civilization Inquiry -

  • Write a question about an ancient civilization we have studied.
  • Research the answer to your question.
  • Write a point sentence that answers your question. 
  • Write an analysis sentence that addresses why your question is important.
  • Find a relevant picture that illustrates your question/point sentence/analysis sentence. 
  • Categorize your question. Which characteristic of a civilization would your question & information fit under? 
  • Post ALL this information on the Ancient Civilization Inquiry Padlet
2. Egyptian Notes: Create a chart for the Egyptian Civilization. Take notes from the Prezi.

3. Ancient Egypt Dialectical Journal: 
  • Complete the dialectical journal. 
  • You must use each process skill one time. 
  • After that, you may choose how to respond. 
  • Be sure to label which process skill you are using.
4. Ticket Out the Door: 
  • Create one higher order thinking question about today's lesson (use process skills). 
  • Answer the question.
